The Bahamas National Statistical Institute (BNSI) is guided by a highly qualified Board of Directors with extensive expertise in public policy, governance, economics, finance, and national development.

This leadership structure ensures that the Institute delivers on its core mission of producing accurate, timely, and independent official statistics for The Bahamas.

The Board provides strategic oversight and helps maintain BNSI’s commitment to transparency, data integrity, and compliance with international statistical standards

The development of the National Statistical System (NSS)

Strategic alignment with international bodies such as CARICOM, OECD, and the United Nations Statistical Division

Oversight of key initiatives like the Bahamas Census and Household Surveys

Mrs. Kelsie Wilson-Dorsett is a distinguished Bahamian public servant who dedicated 38 years to the Government of The Bahamas, culminating as the first female Director of the Department of Statistics, where she championed the modernization of national statistics and led the transition toward the Bahamas National Statistical Institute.
